Pastor – Benjamin Caleb Webb
Crestwood Baptist Church is pleased to welcome Pastor Benjamin Webb, as he begins his pastoral ministry on Sunday, April 16, at our 11am worship service. Join us in giving him a big, warm Crestwood welcome. Please pray for him as he transitions into his new role.
Our Pastor writes: I am humbled to have been invited by God to participate in His dreams for the Crestwood family and broader Winston Salem. Without doubt God brought us together with precise direction and perfect timing. I am convinced our potential is as limitless as the power that raised Jesus from the dead. What a privilege to be part of the plans of God! … With the Psalmist may our hearts cry out, “Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and faithfulness!” (Psalm 115:1)
Worship & Children’s Director – Melody Vaughn
Melody is the Director of Music and Director of Children’s Ministries at Crestwood. She has held that position for over 28 years and considers it an honor and a blessing to be a part of the Crestwood family. Melody is also one of the co-hosts of the Morning JoyRide on Joy FM radio and has worked in some capacity with the station for over 10 years.
Melody and her husband, Gary, have been married 32 wonderful years. She is the mom of two great kids – Lindsey, a school teacher at Salem Baptist Christian School; and Steven, an airline mechanic for American Airlines. Melody considers her family to be the absolute joy of her life.
Melody’s interests include sports, reading, music, food (cooking and eating), movies, enjoying wonderful friendships, and of course her favorite thing – laughter.
Melody is so very grateful for the life that God has given to her and trusted her with. Life has taught her some valuable lessons along the way, and she is thankful for a loving Savior that has guided her through it all.
Youth Ministry Directors – Mark & Elizabeth Wilson
God brought these two wonderful people together several years ago in Crestwood’s Youth Ministry. Mark joined the Marine Corps, and Elizabeth went on to college. What God had planted in their hearts at an early age brought them back together, and they were married in October 2007. Mark now works as a Correctional Lieutenant for Piedmont Correctional Institute. Elizabeth spends most of her time caring for the couple’s two daughters and working at the church.
Administrative Assistant – Angie Stewart
Angie works in the church office and is also the church’s Missions Director. She is the single mother of her 17-year-old daughter, Kallie. Angie is a long-time member of Crestwood and considers herself blessed to be part of such a loving church family. She was Critical Care nurse for many years before a lengthy illness made it impossible for her to continue that career. Angie loves serving the Lord, not only through her role in the church office, but also as our Mission Director.
In Angie’s words, “Crestwood strives to be a place of hope in a dark world. If you’re looking for that ‘something’ missing in your life, church is the perfect place to start, and in my opinion, there is none better than Crestwood!”
