Pastor Eddie Honeycutt, Interim Pastor

Pastor Eddie grew up on a small farm in rural Catawba County. As he grew up, he attended Hopewell Methodist Church where some of his family members attended. He was baptized as a boy into the Methodist Church but it was not until October of 1973, at the age of 21, while dating the young lady who would become his wife (Patty) that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Eddie and Patty were attending revival services at her home church, Linney’s Grove Baptist Church in Alexander County, when he made the personal decision to surrender his life to Jesus Christ. They dated for one year, married, and remained active in their home church until his calling into full-time ministry. His vocational background, prior to entering the ministry, was working in a restaurant and farming. Eddie and Patty moved to their first pastorate at Sulpher Springs Baptist Church in Hiddenite, NC in 1985. Since that time, Pastor Eddie has served faithfully in different church fellowships as Lead Pastor, Interim Pastor, and Director of Missions.

 Patty Honeycutt

Patty was born and grew up on her family’s farm in Alexander County. She is a 1974 graduate of Alexander Central High School. She accepted the Lord at 11 years old and began working with youth and children at her home church while still in high school. She has been involved in the Lord’s work her entire life. Patty has been a faithful companion and a committed partner in the ministry to which the Lord has called them. She has served the Lord faithfully in many roles in the different ministries to which the Lord has called both her and Pastor Eddie.
