Dee Ward began her position as Women’s Ministry Director in January 2020. Since graduating the United Christian Ministerial Association Bible Institute in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1994, she has been involved in the churches she attended, most actively as a teacher and substitute teacher for adult and youth Sunday school classes. She believes very strongly in the power of prayer and began leading a weekly ladies’ prayer group 1 1/2 years ago. In addition to her new position as Women’s Ministry Director, she also currently leads the youth choir. Dee says that although she doesn’t sing well and doesn’t always understand the Lord’s leading, she recognized her need to be obedient to the Lord by working with the youth as their choir leader.
Dee and her husband, Duane, have been married 13 years. Between them, they have three sons and four granddaughters. She is also a barber/hairdresser since 1988, but is currently semi-retired.
Dee says, “I love my quiet times with the Lord, wherever that may be. I also love Biblical research, working in my greenhouse, and preparing some of the thousands of recipes I’ve saved over the years. My greatest desire is to draw closer in my relationship with God and to see others do the same.”
